The procedure and results of the analysis of the differentiation of three major indices of small enterprise, medium enterprise and private entrepreneur sample sets in regions of the Russian Federation are reported. The studies were based on economic-mathematical models and cluster analysis on indicators such as production volumes, number of employees, and number of business entities in each type of entrepreneurial structure.
