The paper presents materials on the fauna of fleas on shrews (g. Sorex) in Karelia. The flea fauna of shrews comprises 8 species of 4 families: Hystrichopsyllidae (4), Pulicidae (1), Ceratophyllidae
(2), Leptopsyllidae (1). The species diversity of fleas is low (0.89). The core of the flea fauna is made up of 2 species (Palaeopsylla soricis starki, Doratopsylla dasycnema dasycnema) – specific parasites of insectivores, which are wide-spread in the Palaearctic.
