Research of the influence of boric acid, ascharite and hydroboracite on the technical properties and durability of refractory masses for induction crucible furnaces has been conducted. It has been observed that addition of boric anhydride in combination with magnesium oxide improves the physical-and-ceramic properties and durability of the lining of induction crucible furnaces used in smelting of copper-based nonferrous
alloys.
