The report contains the results of technological-mineralogical study and recommends a methology for separation of cordierite from gneisses of Leivoiva and lake Shirotnoye. It has been proved that it is effective to use magnetic methods based on magnetic properties, which can be regarded as typical-morphological for cordierite contained in gneisses in Karelia, as the main methods of separation, diagnosis and control.
