Changes in the fauna of myxosporidian parasites in fishes from Lake Syamozero over a long time period were analysed. The species diversity of the parasites was found to have decreased in the situation of eutrophication, where the abundance and population structure of dominant fish species had changed. The species composition of myxosporidian parasites and infection parameters were most stable in burbot and pike.
