A species rare in Karelia and Russia – Chimarra marginata (Trichoptera, Insecta), was found in the River Suna within Kivach Strict Nature Reserve. We recommend including this species in the next edition of the Red Data Book of Republic of Karelia and setting up monitoring of its population dynamics.
