The paper investigates the blocking probability in a retrial system with constant retrial rate. Both theoretical properties and the properties of various estimates of the probability are studied. The analysis is based on the regenerative method. The variance reduction effect is studied. Simulation results are consistent with known analytical results and with corresponding results for a lossy system.
