The article is devoted to the ratio of images of Finland and Russia in the poetry and prose of Russian writers living in Finnish borderland in 1920–1940. We investigate the evolution of the boundary theme from the geographical to the spiritual dimension. The images of Finland and Russia have existed in the minds of Russian writers as inseparably as «two planets standing side by side».
