Характеристика типоморфных черт основных промышленных минералов Карелии и сопряженных с ними минеральных фаций метаморфических пород
Shchiptsov V.V. Description of the typomorphic characteristics of Karelia’s major industrial minerals and the associated mineral facies of metamorphic rocks // Mineralogical and technological evaluation of useful mineral deposits and problems in mineral opening. Petrozavodsk: KarRC RAS, 2011. Pp. 28-34
Metamorphism and metasomatism have contributed greatly to the formation of Karelia's useful minerals. A considerable part of Precambrian industrial mineral deposits and occurrences in the eastern Fennoscandian Shield represent a metamorphogenetic series. These are high-alumina ore formations, high-Mg formations, graphitic gneiss formations, metamorphosed pyrite ore formations, shungite formations, etc. Several industrial mineral deposits are exemplified to show the characteristics of settings that affect the technological properties of the above industrial minerals.
