In this article, the development of the world tourism in 2009 and development of the tourism in regions have been analyzed. The prognosis for development in this year has been elaborated as well. Kinds of the tourism more attractive for the Russian Federation have been investigated. The tourist potential in regions of Russia and problems obstructing development of the internal tourism in our country has been well-grounded.
