Records from the Vodlozero National Park include 404 species basidiomycetes (275 species of aphyllophoroid fungi, 125 of agaricoid and 4 of gasteroid fungi) and 21 species ascomycetes. For five species is the only place of occurrence in Karelia. Red Data Books of Region (2020) and Republic of Karelia (2020) list 38 of the fungal species, and two of the species are red-listed in the Russian Federation (2008 edition). Surveys in the NP territory have detected 53 indicator and specialist species of biologically valuable forests.
