Постмелиоративная динамика структуры и биологической продуктивности мезотрофных травяно-сфагновых болот южной Карелии

Results of 30–years researches on dynamics of biological productivity and
structure of vegetation cover of mesotrophic grass–sphagna mires in spacetime aspect under influence of drainage are presented by the example of three sample plots. Long–term stationary researches have shown different rate and
direction of succession. Drainage of mesotrophic mires results in significant
decrease in the share of basic peat forming plants in ground phytomass and in increase of a role of arboreal plants. The most significant transformations occur in the areas where arboreal plants were present in vegetation cover before
drainage.
