Biodiversity the nature reserves of Murmanks region
// Biodiversity of Fennoscandia (diversity, human impact, nature conservation). Petrozavodsk: Karelian Research Centre of RAS, 1997.
At the end of XX century on territory of Murmansk region (North-West of Russia) are located 3 State Nature Reserves (zapovedniks): Kandalaksha, Lapland and "Pasvik". The areas of zapovedniks are: 70,5; 278,4 and 14,7 th. ha accordingly or 2,5 % from all region. They are located rather far from each other and practically are not joined with the help of so called "ecological corridors". Lapland and "Pasvik"zapovedniks are in greater measure standart of the continental part of the Kola peninsula and Northern taiga, and Kandalaksha - reflects the specific features of the coastal and island ecosistems of the White and the Barentz seas, and partially - tundra and forest zones.

Studing of flora and fauna of the Natural Reserves of Murmansk region is different. Kandalaksha and Lapland zapovedniks existed more than 60 years; "Pasvik" was organized- as a result of bilateral cooperation with Norway in 1992-93 and now the process of accumulation of material is going on (table 1).

The adduced materials show enough the high degree of the biodiversity of the northern ecosistems of the territories of Nature Reserves of Murmansk region. It is necessary to continue the study of separate groups and to conduct the more detail analys.
