July 11, 2015 Pavel Druzhinin (Head of the Department of the Institute of Economics of Karelian Research Centre of RAS) became the president of the Russian Society for Ecological Economics for 2015-2017. This event took place at the 13th International scientific and practical conference of the Russian Society for Ecological Economics Theory and Practice of Economic Regulation of Natural Resources and Environmental Protection’ (held July 7-11 in Kazan).
The main theme of the conference - issues in the methodology and practice of formation and development of the economic mechanism of nature management and environmental protection. Pavel Druzhinin presented the plenary report ‘Modeling of structural shifts in the EU economy: modernization and environmental policies’.
RSEE-Conference 2015 held in continuation of the tradition of the Russian Society for Ecological Economics (RSEE) on the organization of meetings among scientists, graduate students and practitioners, discussing the results of basic and applied research on ecological economics.
