Changes in some hydrochemical parameters of the environment and in the structural and functional characteristics of bacteria, phytoplankton and zooplankton in the presence of different ecological groups of hydrophytes (submerged and floating) were studied in experimental ecosystems. We demonstrate that destructive processes prevailed, bacterial production and photosynthesis of algae decreased, zooplankton species composition changed among the aquatic plants. An inverse relationship was found between the abundance of the crustacean Daphnia longispina and the level of mineralization.
