Профилактика гипотрофии щенков норок
Keywords: mink, hypotrophy, extract of pine needles, arginine, viability, growth, development, transaminases
Pine needles are the source of a large number of biologically active substances, including free amino acids, which are used to treat many diseases of animals. Among metabolic diseases in kits in the early postnatal period is marked hypotrophy, which is accompanied by a slowing the rate of kits growth and decrease their resistance to adverse environmental factors. The disease can be the result of unbalanced diets on the basic nutrients, primarily on the quality of the protein during pregnancy. On the basis of an extract of pine needles Forest Institute of Karelian Research Centre of Russian Academy of Sciences developed a preparation PECA. Pine extract contains the active substance in the form of free amino acids L-arginine. A manifold increase in the level of this amino acid in the needles occurs when using high doses of boron and low - nitrogen. The aim of research was to study the efficacy of the extract PECA in treatment of hypotrophy in kits mink. The experiment was carried out at the fur farm "Pryazhinskoye" Republic of Karelia. We used control and experimental groups of 10 hypotrophic dark brown mink kits each. When administered in the diet5ml PECA preparation containing L-arginine in dose of 7.5 mg / kg body weight was increased viability of kits on 50-60%. Kits receiving PECA had the best results in weight gain. In the serum of the experimental kits group transaminases activity decreased (AST 23.3%, ALT 26,0% (p <0.05) compared with control group.
