The methodology of writing articles in Wikipedia by students with the help of the teacher presented in the tutorial. As an example, we have considered the Russian Wikipedia. An abridged glossary of terms used on Wikipedia was added. A how-to guide detailing a practice on the Russian Wikipedia and some tips that should make the editing process go smoothly were described. The possibilities of the social network "VKontakte" used for communication with students were shown. The pros and cons of using Wikipedia in the educational process were unveiled. This work is being licensed under the Creative Commons Attribution-ShareAlike 3.0.

The target audience of this book includes both students and professors from various disciplines, who are interested in the study of the essential mechanisms and regulations of the wiki-based projects. Work in Wikipedia will benefit students, teachers and all mankind.
