The parasite fauna of salmonoids (Salmonoidei) – Atlantic salmon (Salmo salar), trout (S. trutta), whitefish (Coregonus lavaretus), vendace (C. albula) and grayling (Thymallus thymallus),
was studied in detail within their distribution range. Long-term patterns of the fish parasite fauna formation in different types of lakes depending on the feeding behaviour were considered. Epizootic risk assessment was carried out for a pathogenic salmon parasite – the monogenean Gyrodactylus salaris.
