The article presents the main approaches to the creation of information-analytical system of support and maintenance of regional natural resources' scientific research. It focuses on developing the comprehensive ontology of the natural sciences, covering the subject areas of project participants' researches, which was chosen as the basis for the technology of scientific data's systematization and search. The article also contains the description of the map service of information and analysis system, developed on the basis of MapServer v.4.10.3 and Open Geospatial Consortium standards with usage of P. MAPPER v.3.2. program shell and AJAX technology.
