The effect of various binders and shungite on the properties of refractory coating masses for manufacturing Pech-type STE thermal accumulators was estimated. The suitability of the compositions developed on the basis of aluminosilicates, binders and shungite for coating and repair masses of ladles for discharging cast iron and nonferrous masses on the basis of alloy copper and the discharge overhead troughs of induction crucible furnaces was assessed.
