The authors examined the role of wood-attacking fungi in the forests genesis, and estimated the condition of forest stands and damage caused by wood-attacking fungi of biotrophic complex. The authors also examined the possibility of assessing dynamic processes in forest communities relying on the stand age structure and volumes of course woody debris in a 60 year retrospective.
