Relying on documents from the National Archives of the Republic of Karelia, we consider the process of the all.Union anti.cosmopolitan campaign and its consequences for the artistic intelligentsia of Soviet Karelia through the example of the Finnish Drama Theatre. Regionally.specific features of the campaign are revealed, and the perception of political actions by people of culture is analyzed.
