Scientific publications

The paper is based on a review of practical methods for management and restoration of waterbodies used in eight European countries – participants of the international project LakePromo ("Lakepromo – Tools for water management and restoration processes"): Finland, Denmark, Russia, Estonia, Germany, Great Britain, Hungary and Spain.
The paper explains the principles of surface water classification according to the EU Water Framework Directive adopted in 2000, and describes the most popular practical methods for restoration of the ecological status of waterbodies.
