The experience of the KIZHI Museum in the sphere of realization of the project «The Illusions of the Old Town» associated with development of the Historical Buildings' Quarter in Petrozavodsk is shown in the article. The especial attention is given to results and perspectives of the project, its significance for the town in the aspect of forming of the cultural-historical destination.
